Tygerbear
The people at Tygerbear call themselves a “Survivors Care Centre” and work in conjunction with the Department of Social Work. They are situated in the Tygerberg Hospital and provide psychosocial patient care for traumatised children through individual, group and community work. In addition, they provide safety programmes, counselling and HIV Aids education as well as sexual abuse counselling. Only partially funded, they rely heavily on donations.
KZN
Bobbi Bear
Bobbi Bear is a rescue centre for sexually abused & HIV Aids children. They do HIV Aids counselling, Positive Living & Wellness Management Programmes for sexually abused children and their families. They have extensive Community Awareness programmes on HIV Aids and work closely within the criminal justice system to prosecute child sexual abuse offenders. They are wholly reliant on donations for their subsistence and receive no government funding.

BEARES CELEBRATING ISOLEZWE'S 10TH BIRTHDAY WITH INTANDOKAZI WOMANS CLUB – 24th March 2012
Isolezwe newspaper hosted a luncheon in conjunction with the Intandokazi Woman's Club to celebrate their 10th Birthday. This function was held at the Suncoast Casino in KZN on 24th March 2012. Beares sponsored a prize of a LG 47" LED TV and were given the opportunity to introduce our brand to a vast group of female professionals, entrepreneurs and prominent business women from all over KZN. The guests were entertained by the well known singer, Phumzile Zondo and got to listen to a number of expert guest speakers with advice on financial & legal issues as well as beauty tips.
BEARES DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SETTLEMENT CSI PROJECT
2nd APRIL 2012 Beares, in conjunction with Department of Human Settlement in the Cape, and GommaGomma recently donated some much needed furniture & appliances to two destitute and disabled people. Mrs Angela Msizi who lives in Strand & Mr Bence living in Khayelitsha. Product that was donated included, 2 x TEK TV's, 2 x 92cm Jade Single base sets, 2 x Carpets, 2 x Double Door fridges and 2 x Plasma Stands. Gomma Gomma very kindly joined forces with us and gave each of them 2 x 2 seater Gomma Gomma Couches.
BEARES KZN TOY RUN – 27TH NOVEMBER 2011
Beares, once again donated a big teddy bear to the KZN Toy Run. Each year the biking community turn out in their masses and in true Christmas spirit, with toys tied to their motorcycles, they all meet up in Westville and ride together down the South Coast to a venue in Amanzimtoti. Here they pile the donated toys up forming an enormous mountain, often metres high, waiting for their collection by the local Lions Club to distribute them to underprivileged boys and girls all over KZN.
BEARES CLUB DAY – DECEMBER 2011
